BLOG HOP 101What is a Blog Hop? In very simple terms, a blog hop is when a group of people, that own blogs, come together to offer an 'online' collaboration, to show off new products, creative projects, etc. The blogs owned by these individuals in the hop are all "linked" from one person to another, allowing a participant to "hop" along easily. All blog hops are specific to whomever is sponsoring said event. [back to top] Who sponsors these Blog Hops? SVGCuttingFiles.com & JadedBlossom.com are the sponsors of all the hops we advertise. These guides provided here are specific to the blogs sponsored by SVG and JB. [back to top] This sounds like fun, how do I start? First and foremost, you need to know WHEN A BLOG HOP is!! To do this, join the SVG Cutting Files Newsletter, Jaded Blossom Newsletter, SVG Cutting Files Member Galleria or Jaded Blossoms Garden of Creativity. We typically create a Facebook Event page a week PRIOR to a hop starting so you can plan and get ready for it! Joining these places will enable you to be kept up to date on all the upcoming hops, which we average at LEAST once a month. You will also be given a list of all the blogs that will be participating in that themed hop, so you can make sure you are following them prior to the hop starting, saving you some time on actual event day. [back to top] I dont have a blog, can I still participate? Yes! You do not need to have a blog to participate, what you do need is an account so you can leave a comment on the blog, to qualify for entry for the prize giveaways (if offered) and free files (if offered). It is free to sign up for an account! [back to top] Do I have to make something to be in the blog hop? No, you are not required to make any project to join in the hop. [back to top] What do I have to do to participate in a blog hop? Participation is EASY! Our recipe for you to have success is TYPICALLY the same process on each hop, but you WILL want to read the requirement guides on each blog hop, as we do sometimes change things up! Typically, all that is needed is for you to FOLLOW each blog in the blog hop, Comment on each blog in the blog hop, and then fill in your request form! Its that simple! [back to top] How do I follow a blog? Each blog is set up by its owner, so each blog may have a different way to 'follow' it. You will need to look on the side bars of each blog to see which way is being offered. The image below shows the most common ways a blog may have as a ways to follow. You only need to follow ONE way on each blog, so if a blog has 3 follow ways, you do NOT need to follow each way, but you DO need to follow at least one way. In my personal opinion, Bloglovin' is the better choice, you get one email digest daily to your email to keep you informed of the blogs you follow. However this is a personal preference, just make sure you are following. If you are not set up with any of these accounts to follow, its FREE to join in any of them. 
[back to top] How do I comment on a blog? Again, each blog is different, so depending on how the owner has set up comments, this may vary. On Blogger owned blogs, to find how to leave a comment, simply read a blog post and scroll down to the end of it. at the bottom you will see where is my say COMMENT or have a number with the comments (in image below it has 424 comments), so you simply CLICK on that wording, and it will bring you to the comment field box for you to enter your text.  PLEASE NOTE on hops that have alot of comments, after you save it, and go back to find your comment, it may take a little while to load.. .and there is also multiple pages, so you may need to click on NEXT or LOAD MORE to find the most recent ones posted [back to top] How do I find my DISPLAY name? To find your blog follower name (which is REQUIRED on the request files form), simply leave a comment on a persons blog, FIND your comment, and see how it DISPLAYS your name We will ONLY accept ONE name in the request files form, so you need to pay attention to how you are correctly displayed. [back to top] How do I enter to win the prizes (if one is offered)? When a prize is offered in a blog hop, the blog posts in that specific hop will tell you exactly what is required. Again, this may change from each hop, so its IMPERATIVE you read the blog post guidelines. [back to top] How do I get the free files (if offered)? When free files are offered in a blog hop, the blog posts will state if the file is free and the will specifically tell you how to get that free file. Again, read the post on the specific hop, as these guides can change slightly depending on the theme. [back to top] I completed the hop, but never received any files, Why? There may be several reasons why you did not receive your files. Some of these reasons may include : [back to top] Someone asked me to share the hop files, am I allowed? Absolutely NOT! Our Hops are a 'perk' to our loyal fans and followers. We DO NOT allow file sharing of ANY SORT on any of our files. Hops, and the files offered, would not be SPECIAL if they were available all the time and to everyone. Think of them as a limited edition product. It has a higher value knowing not everyone has them! If you are caught file sharing with another, all parties will be banned and removed for all events and future hops sponsored by us. [back to top] What are the Terms of Use of the Blog Hop Files?
